Each year the earth reminds us to change our perspective, to welcome the cycle of colder weather, warmer clothing, crisp walks, warm fires, and the changing colours of nature.

In a digital world that is constantly shifting and changing, a painting, sculpture, glass or ceramic artwork represents something preserved in a moment – a distillation of the ideas, emotions, and observations of it’s creator. The solidity of an artwork can be part of it’s appeal, (although of course it is possible to see new elements emerging from a piece every time you take a look at it!)

Art is a stable influence upon our lives, often passed down from generation to generation. It reaches back into the time of it’s creation, to when it was purchased, and the hands it has passed through, linking us directly to the origins of the piece. We hope that you will remember a great day out at Fresh: when you look up to appreciate the artwork you purchased.

Paul Stone ‘Sliced Charcoal Bread’
Art is the ultimate way to add beauty to your life, charm, wit, a conversation piece, a little slice of serenity. Art means so much to so many. At Fresh: our aim is to democratise art, bringing a major art fair and thousands of artworks to our main event in Cheltenham, and 2022 will mark five years since the fair first began. The work is varied, and buyers can find a breadth of art across a range of price points (from £100 – £30,000.) We are proud that the event hosts such a diverse offering, where Hockney, Hirst, Banksy, Emin, Picasso, Miro, Chagall, Grayson Perry, Bridget Riley (and more) are shown among a plethora of works by professional contemporary artists on over fifty gallery stands.
2021 also saw the introduction of Fresh@Fresh, a new stand sponsored by RRA Architects, showing the work of exciting undiscovered talent.

Art for Autumn
As we embrace autumn’s changing colours, reflecting this in our interiors with a re-style, it seems fitting to also change our artwork to reflect the season. Some paintings (such as portraits) are timeless pieces for every season. However, the blossom painting you love in the spring will seem all the more vibrant if rested over winter!
