Paula Dunn: Demonstrating Saturday 11th June 3 - 6pm Studio 2
The weather and its impact on the landscape plays a significant part in Paula’s work. She likes to play with combinations of colours, textures and expressive marks to create mood, atmosphere and drama.
When beginning a painting Paula has no end point in mind. She paints intuitively, focusing first on the desire to work with particular colours. This experimental part of the process lays the foundations of the painting. Colour and texture are layered through a process of mark-making. Adding glazes, Paula creates depth and atmosphere. At times her landscapes become almost abstract.
This is a wonderful opportunity to watch a master at work, and visitors will also find Paula’s paintings on Stand 27 with the fabulous Hope Gallery.
