Last but most certainly not least in our line-up of demonstrating artists at Ascot this year is Rod Craig, represented by Kingfisher Art.

Rod attended the West of England College of Art, studying graphic design and illustration, before setting up his own design company in Oxford. He departed the industry in 2010 to become a full-time painter based at his home and studio in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

His mastery of the watercolour medium has won him admirers across the world and his work is held in collections from Europe to the United States. “Watercolour painting is a perfect medium for capturing the energy and drama of the landscape,” he says. “I love its vibrancy and fluidity. Whilst it is extremely challenging, it is completely addictive as no other medium offers the same degree of spontaneity. Most of my work is inspired by memories, music and the elements of the landscape.”

Watching one of Rod’s dramatic images emerge from the paper is a real treat for art lovers and we’re delighted to be able to bring him to you from 11am – 5pm on Sunday 22nd September in Studio 2.

We’re almost ready and can’t wait to see you there! Book your tickets for Fresh: Ascot here.
