One of our most popular features is the Sculpture Park, which we are delighted to announce will be returning for 2020! Visitors will be able to thread their way through dozens of artworks of impeccable calibre, all set against the spectacular backdrop of the rolling Cotswold Hills.
Although we won’t be releasing the full list of exhibitors just yet, we can give you a sneak peek at one of the new names whose work will be gracing the Park in April…
One of the UK’s leading public sculptors, Ed Elliott thinks of sculpture as “a language and I aim to create a memorable presence with my work. Finding the right environments for sculpture is crucial in finishing many pieces and making them sing.”
He is particularly well known for his angels, whose combination of ancient subject matter and modern sensitivity in execution speak eloquently to our understanding of what it is to be human.
Although he has worked with many different materials, including bronze, wood holds a particular fascination for Ed. His distinctive style and classical forms explore the essence of this beautiful organic material, giving the finished pieces an intriguing quality and enduring appeal, whether in an indoor or outdoor setting.
