The sheer quantity of exceptional artwork that we welcome to Fresh: each year makes choosing a favourite next to impossible. With something for every taste, budget and style, from household names to up-and-coming new talent, we generally have trouble limiting ourselves to single figures! We promised Father Christmas we would be strict with ourselves though, so our list of individual favourites continues with the sublime “Indian Woman (Cosmic Dipti)” by Natasha Kumar of Artshouse.
Alice from our Marketing Team fell head over heels in love with this piece at Fresh: Ascot in September. “I travelled the world as much as I could in my younger days (before marriage, mortgage and children pinned me down to Somerset) and I would give my left arm to find this heavenly screenprint under the tree” she says. “Kumar captures all the richness of contemporary India in her images and the quality of her drawing is simply stunning. Her work has stayed with me ever since i first laid eyes on it”.
